When coupled with IVEC® Controls, the Intellivent™ IVBH baghouse style Collector maintains optimum air flow, manages the automated self-cleaning system to improve air filtration, extends filter life and reduces equipment maintenance requirements. With a variety of bag/filter media options, the IVBH can be used in a broad range of applications from fine powders to heavy metal and fiber solids.

How the Baghouse Dust Collector Works

Intellivent’s Bag House Dust Collector is high efficiency with the pulse jet on-line cleaning system which provides reliable, continuous duty and easy maintenance. Dirty air enters the baghouse in the upper section, body or hopper section of the unit and strikes a diffuser plate forcing heavier particles to separate and drop out via gravity. Light particles are trapped by the filter bags as the air passes through. Clean air then exhausts through the top of the unit. The filter bags are enclosed in metal cages to provide support and extend filter life. The deep angled hopper design with continuous discharge air-lock insures the contaminants are removed and prevents re-entrainment of dust on the filter, extending filter life. IVEC’s modular baghouse design ranges in size from 1000-36,000 ft^2 of filter area and capacity from 10,000 to 100,000 CFM and larger.

Applications

The Intellivent baghouse is suited to capture dust from fine powders to heavy wood chips and foundry dust and the flexible design can be used in a wide range of temperature and ambient environments, including hygroscopic conditions. Typical applications include plastic, paper, fiberglass, sawdust, coal, and cement as well as many other irregular shaped contaminants.
